Sol Cresta uses the same methods of formation and docking as Terra Cresta’s classic shooter Moon Cresta. It also utilizes the latest “free-form docking technique”. The main character, Yamato, composed of three ships Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susano can utilize various attacks depending on how the three ships are aligned. Splitting, docking and refitting the vessels when necessary is essential to defeating the armies of Mandler.
